Most of my recent stationery projects have been very simple - sans a lot of color. For the second design sample, I opted to punch up the color palette & make it much more prominent. I still kept it clean & simple. I think it works really well.
Cardstock: SU - night of navy; DCWV - luxury stack; PTI - white shimmer

Misc: SU - scallop edge punch; pop dots; corner rounder; Sizzix - circles #2
