New Toys

So, I got this great coupon in my inbox on Monday - 40% any regular priced item at Michael's. Why's the coupon so great? Because I can use it once a day, every day this entire week through Saturday. And I've had some big-ticket items on my to-buy list for a while now.

Namely, I've worn out my Creative Memories cutting system. The straight edge isn't quite straight anymore, but what can you expect after more than 7 yrs of usage! So I've replaced it with

the Making Memories Precision Paper Trimmer. It has a self-sharpening blade and magnetic ruler. I can't wait to get in the craft room & try it out!

I also splurged on a toy that my mom & I saw at a LSS and ogled over a few weeks ago. The Making Memories Tag Curler

will really be great for our card-making, but I think we'll even find ourselves using it on our scrapbook pages. The store owner demonstrated how easy it is to use - really seemed like a snap. We'll see. I'll be getting some extra curling tags with one of the remaining coupons. {Demo here}

I'm also toying with the idea of buying a Crop-a-Dile.
My mom bought one with the coupon I gave her. She's borrowed this tool at several crops and really fell in love with it. There's lots to learn about its usage - i.e. it's not as straight forward as I would like. BUT everyone who has one loves it. We'll see. I'm not 100% sold on it just yet. {Demo here}

i'm just about to head out with my 40% off coupon in hand with a crop-in-style PSB in mind. (i bought one, but needed SIX!)

i was wondering about that tag thingamajig. what's it for? just attatching metal clippies?

as for the crop-a-dile, GO FOR IT! (especially with 40% off, you cent even get that good of a deal on ebay!) i wanted something to make setting grommets easisly. it does that. i did have to read the directions (which i rarely do) for how/why to change the part for the different sized grommets. i also got TWO punches in one that cut through most anything i would want to cut through. as i'm sure you mom has made known, its a little bulky in the hand, but does so much its worth it!!!!

no, i dont work for crop-a-dile...

anywho, enjoy the rest of your 40%off week!!!!

the tag curler is kinda hard to explain. basically, it attaches little tags to ribbon. i'm hoping to make a card tomorrow that uses this jewel. that might help a little in understanding what it does & what the end product looks like.

just another affirmation that the crop-a-dile is worth its salt. and it's hard to pass up with such a great coupon!

I LOVE my crop-a-dile too --- You will find it's not hard once you use it a couple of times - go for it ;)
