Avatar Help

I created my profile avatar many moons ago, and I can't seem to remember the site...and unfortunately, I didn't bookmark it. I have a friend who would like to create one, and I obviously can't refer her to the site where I made mine. Do any of you have suggestions for user-friendly sites to create free avatars? I really liked the site where I got mine b/c you could really personalize it to suit your interests. I'd like to refer my friend to a site where she could do the same.
