Another Scrappin' Weekend

I haven't really been in the creating mood lately. The heat & humidity have pretty much made me a slug. I haven't done anything but lay around & watch t.v. Sad. But that will change this weekend. Mom's coming over on Friday for another round of scrappin'. So look for some fun posts this weekend.

Morning Session

We had to run a few scrapbooking-related errands around lunch, so we haven't gotten as much time in today as we'd really intended. Naturally, the errands took a little longer than we thought they would. A few photos:

We were scrappin' along. About 11 p.m., we decided to wrap things up to go to bed. The next time we looked at the clock, it was 12:45 a.m.! Whoops--we didn't really intend to be up that late. But we were cookin' with gas, so to speak. This is what Dori thought about the whole thing--she was absolutely sacked out. Too cute!

Scrappin' Weekend

My mom is coming! We plan to spend the next 2 1/2 days in the scrap room. Whoohoo! I should have lots of new layouts (and maybe cards) to share. And I just might get caught up...on my vacation album anyway. We'll see. My goal is get the DC photos from...dare I say it...5 years ago (sad!) scrapped. That was before I kept a trip journal. So dragging up memories from the trip may be a little harder than my more recent adventures. But with mom around, it will be a little easier since it's a trip we took together. If I get the DC photos finished, I have two other big trips that need scrapping. We'll see how much progress can be made.

New Layouts Soon

I'm ashamed to say that I spent an entirely unproductive weekend doing absolutely nothing crafty. I had most of the weekend to myself since DH was in Vegas at a business meeting, but the creative juices just weren't flowin'. My mom is coming to scrap this weekend, and I'm determined to get done with my NYC pages so I can move on to another long-neglected trip. As luck would have it, DH will be gone to a business dinner tonight, so that affords the perfect opportunity to hole up in the craft room & get that done. Hope to have photos posted by tomorrow evening.

More Posts Coming

I have several posts in the pipeline. I have to convert a PDF file to JPG to get it posted--it's a great digital layout my mom sent me. I've made several cards recently. Sent one out without photographing--whoops. The others I've put back until I could get photos taken & posted. Hope to get all that done tonight, particularly since I need to get the birthday card on its way if it's going to get there on time.

Still haven't fixed whatever I did to my desktop. Probably gonna have to wipe everything & start over...assuming we can find the original software. That could be a problem. Hoping to upgrade the RAM too. Realized it wasn't up to snuff. Gee, you'd think one of us would have checked that when we installed Adobe Elements (AE) the first time. Anyway, after upgrade, we should be up to 1GB of RAM. That really ought to speed things up considerably, particularly when I have AE running. Have almost everything moved to the external HD. Man, that made a difference too.
