Daws Glacier

Unfortunately, I'm home from work today b/c of my allergies. BUT on the plus side, it means I can play around in the craft room a little. And today I worked on this layout from our Alaskan cruise. We got up close & personal with the Daws Glacier, and it did not disappoint.

Beautiful Glaciers

Today we're looking at the opposing layout for my Juneau spread. I focused on all of the beautiful scenery; it was pretty tough to narrow it down to just 10 faves!

Birdseye View of Juneau

While we didn't get to mush huskies as we'd planned due to low cloud cover in the morning, we salvaged the day by taking a sea plane tour of the glacier fields. Stunning! I had tons of pictures and wanted to maximize the number of beautiful photos I planned to preserve for our album. So I chose a template that would highlight a particularly memorable photo while allowing lots of other photos from the day.

Ketchikan: The Salmon Capital

After we finished our tours in Ketchikan, we enjoyed a leisurely walk about town. We were actually in search of some good food (a story unto itself) but ended up just sightseeing instead. Once again, I used the ol' flip-it trick to tie the opposing pages together.

Here, Fishie, Fishie, Fishie...

Anyone else remember that episode of Sesame Street where Bert & Ernie go fishing? Makes me laugh every time I think about it. I've worked on some more digital layouts for our Alaska album, and I'll be sharing those this week. Today's layout, we're taking a look at the guy's first fishing trip in Ketchikan. No fish hopping in the boat, but they still had a great time.

An Album Gone Digital: Day 5

We're still at sea cruising the Inside Passage in today's layout. Again, you'll notice that I used the same template for the left and right-hand pages, except that I flipped the template both horizontally and vertically for balance. You'll also notice a little mirroring between the two pages. It couldn't have worked out more perfectly if we'd planned it (and we didn't)!

An Album Gone Digital: Day 4

Today begins the second day of our Alaskan cruise and another fun digital template. We were at sea on the second day and passed lots of beautiful scenery as we cruised the Inside Passage. So I chose a template that allowed for lots of photos.
